Australian govt urged to crack down on cybercrime

The Federal Government should to do more to combat the growing problems of cyber crime and online security, the Australian Computer Society says.
Against the backdrop of a series of cyber attacks on government agencies and businesses in the US and South Korea this week, society chairman Kumar Parakala said internet crime and security issues threatened to hit people's confidence in online transactions.
He said it could also impede the progress of Australia's online economy.
