Myspace tries to reach a bigger screen

Positioning a social network as a breeding ground for a television series, MySpace has signed a deal with a British-based production company, ShineReveille International, to distribute its video content outside the United States.
MySpace, which counts 110 million members and is owned by ews Corp., has increasingly sought to be seen as a destination for original content and in a news release, the company on Thursday called itself Hollywood's digital playground.
