Big projects demand workers highly skilled in telecoms

Telecoms may become the sector of choice for highly skilled technical candidates, with the National Broadband Network proving a major drawcard, recruiters say.
With the appeal of the finance sector taking a hit in the past few years, telecommunications, driven by the NBN, is highly favoured.
The huge infrastructure project was very exciting, "and certainly they don't have trouble attracting high-calibre candidates out of the industry", Launch Recruitment managing director Rebecca Wallace said.
